Every Shoobx experience is unique based on each individual's role. This post will cover how to grant HR access and permissions, and what these configurations look like in practice.

How To Grant HR Access & Permissions
You can edit a user's HR access levels by clicking into their profile and selecting the "Permissions" tab. This page shows the full list of available access levels and a short description of each. After making any desired modifications, select "Save".
Please note that the features described below are only available to our HR Plus customers. If you would like to have HR Plus enabled, please speak with your account manager.
Employee Group Managers
When setting up permissions for your HR team, it is essential to note a few key components of the permissions settings to avoid any potential confusion.
(1) If permissions are edited for Violette before she is assigned as a manager of an Employee Group that is nested under another group, she will have access to all of the information of the company and not just the data specific to the employee group she is set up to administer.
(2) If Violette is added as an "HR Manager" for an employee group, but her permissions are not edited to expand her access level, she will not be able to see information pertaining to the group she administers. Instead, we recommend that you:
(a) add Violette as an HR Manager for the appropriate employee group, then
(b) follow the steps above to grant her with the appropriate level of permissions and access.
You can always check to make sure that you have granted your HR administrators the correct employee group access level by clicking back into their profile. As displayed below, Violette has employee management access for the "Interns" employee group.
You can also confirm this on the "Employee Group" page in HR Administration.
Employee Documents Lens for HR Administrators
The "Employee Documents" lens, found inside of the HR module on the dashboard, displays a different visualization of the Data Room than the traditional Data Room experience.
For Violette, clicking into the "Employee Documents" view will display a screen that contains employment information for both herself the other employees in the Intern group.
For comparison, Violette's traditional Data Room lens looks slightly different, as the same documents are ordered in different folders.
As a final note, the "Consultant Management Access" and "Advisor Management Access" permissions do not adhere to employee groups. If enabled, these permissions grant access to all consultant and advisor reports, workflows, and documents for the company.
