This article describes how investor signature blocks get set in the generative Equity Financing workflow. If your investors have questions this article doesn't address, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org anytime.
Investor Login and Signature Block Setup
The investor will setup the signature block at the point when they login to sign the financing documents. Their first screen after logging in will present them with three options, and the information they answer with will in turn populate the signature block. The investor's question and answer options when they first login are:
Yes, I am the investment coordinator and can confirm the full legal name of the investing party:
- "The legal name of the investing party is correct as shown below"
- "Enter a different investing party (include the name of the fund, if relevant, e.g., Raviga Fund III, L.P.)"
- "I am coordinating this investment among multiple investors or investment vehicles"
In this way, they can choose a correct entity, even if an incorrect entity or person was originally entered by another party. Whatever entity they provide in the above step will be incorporated into the signature blocks.
When the investor clicks the "Sign Document" button, they can immediately afterwards click the "Review" button and scroll in the document to the signature blocks to see how their signature block is actually reflected in the document.
If the investor is not satisfied with their signature block, they can click the "Back" button (from the "Sign Financing Documents" screen) to change the name they'd like on the financing documents, and then they can click "continue" once more to apply a new signature with the new signature block on the documents.
