This article explains how you can allow an existing investor or other third party to view documents and/or the cap table in your company's Shoobx account, often in the context of due diligence.
You can also invite an individual user to view similar information, or provide access to this information to new investors or members of your team.
STEP ONE
You can view the relationships you have with existing third parties by clicking on the "Companies and Firms" section of the the Directory panel of your Company dashboard.
STEP TWO
Identify the investor or other third party whose access you'd like to adjust. Click on the gear icon to the right of their name to get to the settings for that entity. You can configure that party's access to your cap table and other reports by clicking on "Configure Access", and configure their data room access by clicking on "Data Room Permissions".
The reports access options will look like this:
And the data room access will look like this:
Simply select the reports and/or folders you would like this party to see, and save the settings.
STEP THREE
If you need to tailor the access of a particular team member to make it more restrictive than the general settings for that entity, you can do so by first ensuring that they have "Managed Access" rather than "Full Access".
Once you've done this, click on the three-line menu to the right of their name, and select "Edit Permissions" to tailor their access to the cap table and other reports, and/or "Edit Data Room Access" to tailor their access to data room folders.
